2025 Alumnae Award Recipients |
Jane has dedicated more than 30 years to volunteer service in the Masters Swimming community, embodying the MLC School spirit of leadership and giving back. A student at MLC School from Year 5 to Year 12, she was a Senior Prefect, an accomplished tennis and cricket player, and later an active member of the MLC School Old Girls’ Union.
After studying pharmacy at university, Jane became deeply involved in Masters Swimming at club, state, and national levels. She has been President of Masters Swimming Australia (MSA) since 2025 and a Life Member since 2024. Her contributions have earned widespread respect, and have earned her a Life Membership with Masters Swimming NSW (MSNSW) and the Seaside Pirates Club. She was instrumental in organising the 2009 World Masters Games Swimming event in Sydney and has been recognised with numerous awards, including the Gary Stutsel Award and Sport NSW’s Distinguished Long Service Award.
Jane’s leadership, sportsmanship, and commitment to fostering inclusive, well-run swimming events have significantly shaped the sport. Her multigenerational connection to MLC School—through her daughter and granddaughter—further underscores her lasting ties to the community. Jane’s legacy is one of tireless service, mentorship, and the promotion of health, camaraderie, and excellence in swimming.
